The prostate is a walnut-sized gland in males located just below the bladder and in front of the rectum and wraps around the upper part of the urethra. It is responsible for producing seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm. It is vulnerable to three main conditions: prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and prostate cancer, with BPH being the most common. Prostatitis encompasses a combination of conditions that can affect the prostate gland, causing pain, inflammation, swelling, and tenderness. Increase in prostate size is seen to correlate positively with increase in age, as significant growth generally begins after age 40 years and accelerates after age 60 years.
The prostate is a small gland, located in the pelvis, between the p@nis and bladder. If the prostate becomes enlarged, it can place pressure on the bladder and the urethra, which is the tube that urine passes through.

Cause of prostate enlargement
